Eyes

Types of Eyes

Eye traits fall into two types: Pupil or Effect.

PUPIL
This refers to the pupil shape.  You cannot combine pupil shapes together.

EFFECT

Effects are used on pupils. Some effects cannot be used with certain pupils.

Visit the Eye Traits page of the Database to see what pupils are shapes, and what are Effects, as well as what effects can be used with what pupiles.

Color Rules

Eyes are made up of three possible parts that differ on the eye trait or preferences: Sclera (Whites of the eyes), Iris, and Pupil.

COLOR:

- The Iris and Pupil can be any color.
- The Sclera can be any color except for dark greys and blacks. Only Eclipse, Omen, and Aether eyes can have dark blacks and greys for the sclera.
- A white pupil is considered blind unless you have pale or solar eyes.
- Pale should have slightly lighter or darker colors together.
- Some eye traits are allowed to have the pupil extend out of the eye, such as Arcane, Aether, and Nebula eyes.

Albino dragons must have pink/red, purple/lilac, or blue colors for their eyes. This should be a light pastel colors.

SHADING AND TEXTURES:

- Eyes are allowed heavy shading and detail.
- Markings cannot appear on the eye.

Breath Elements

Breath art can be added on the import during approval, or after during updates. Only dragons with breath abilities can depict the breath art!

COLOR AND DEPICTION:
- Can be any combination of colors.

- Shape and pattern of the breath can be any so long as it is not vulgar and does not cover the dragon excessivley.
- Breaths should not cover more than 50% of the mouth and as well should ceom from the mouth itself. Floating breath will look too much like elemental.
- Breaths can be depicted in any form. If you want an "icey" fire breath or a dripping breath this is fine. We do not judge breaths on their general depiction.
