GENERAL RULES
ALL EDITS MUST BE KEPT WITHIN 75% OF THE TOTAL DESIGN! 25% must remain visible and untouched.
Within souls there are endless ways to customize your dragon. Within the rules we frequently mention Unique Sections, and Attributes. These are slightly different than the zones used in markings and consist of the following:
UNIQUE SECTIONS:
Head, Neck, Front Body, Back Body, Tail, Wings
ATTRIBUTES:
Claws, Special Zones, Horns, Eyes, Teeth, Ears
Large Item Kits, Small Item Kits, and Shampoo's are meant to alter the linearts of your dragon as opposed to altering any colors / markings. If you're hoping to change colors of horns or claws, or perhaps add a small painted symbol please visit our PAINT AND DYES Guide.
______________________________________________
For each different Type of Modification you will seperate item kits. The Types are as follows:
Scarring/Amputation, Body Modification, Mutations, Accessories, and Shampoo.
Ontop of these modifications you may include up to 15% of another build onto your dragon using item kits! This means you could put some plated scales onto your velour build, or steal some fluff from an angora / imperial. Just don't go too crazy and lose the original build.
Item Kit: small
CAN:
- Add small scars
- Add Small Accessories
- Edit Attributes
- Edit less than 50% of a Unique Section
- Minorly Edit Mutations
CANNOT:
- Add Companions/Pets
- Amputate Limbs
- Edit the BG
- Remove all the toes
Item Kit: Large
CAN:
- Add Large Accesories
- Add Large Scars
- Amputate Limbs
- Edit more than 50% of a Unique Section
- Majorly Edit Mutations
- Swap Tail Coat Type
- Swap Wing Type
On Gryphons the Large Item Kit can:
- Be used to make a tail a different coat version regardless of the coat build.
- Be used to change the hind end to a different coat type that is in lower rarity from the listed coat type. I.e. using the Velour hind end version vs the Imperial version, but NOT using the Imperial version if the coat type is Velour.
- Be used to change the hind end "species" after approval. Since this is chosen by the player, this is how you can fix it if you change your mind!
CANNOT:
- Add Companions/Pets
- Edit the BG
- Majorly Edit Wings
Shampoo
CAN:
- Add Hair growing from Designated Sections
- Edit Imperial / Angora Fur
- Edit Maned mutation
CANNOT:
- Mimic Maned mutation
- Edit non-furred things
NOTE
You cannot edit the Dewclaws to resemble Raptor and need to be wary to not edit teeth where it resembles Fanged! Maned also should not be mimicked through the use of shampoo's. As a whole you should try to avoid mimicking mutations, other species, and other coat types. We still need to be able to tell your original coat type!

Wing Type / Hind leg coat Swapping
DRAGONS
You can swap the wing type from Webbed, Half Webbed, and Full Feathered of a dragon using a Large Item Kit.
For Feathered coat types you are not required to include a Large Item Kit, unless it is a design update.
This can be done during your intial design approval!
gryphons
Gryphons do not feature webbed wings or half webbed wings - however their hind legs coat type can be swapped using a Large Item Kit to any coat type that is of lesser rarity than the coat build!
The below list explains what coat type can use what hind end. Like wings, A Large Item Kit is necessary to do this. You can do this action during Design Review and do not have to wait till Design Updates.
- Velour Coat: Only Velour Hind Legs
- Feathered & Plated Coat: Feathered, Plated, and Velour Hind Legs
- Angora: Angora, Feathered, Plated, and Velour Hind Legs
- Imperial: Imperial, Angora, Feathered, Plated, and Velour Hind Legs
Additionally, a large item kit can be used to swap the tail version regardless of coat build - as some coat type edits work better with certain hind legs.
