What Are Expeditions?

Expeditions are a series of activities you can complete to get a broad range of items based on locations. Unlike quests, Expeditions have a lot of items in each loot tables and are not as focused as quests. Some items can only be obtained in this activity as well. Expeditions include hunting, Fishing, Foraging, and Caving.
You may submit as many expeditions with art/literature as you wish a month.

All players have Four monthly expeditions FREE ROLLS they may submit - meaning you do not need art or literature to have these submissions rolled.
Master rank and beyond players have an extra fifth free monthly expedition that they can submit.

To Submit your free expeditions use this Prompt here!

What is scouting?

Scouting is an activity where you can collect rewards 5 times a day from various locations. However, locations have to be unlocked and leveled for their better rewards. The community as a whole will collectively work to unlock and upgrade these locations.  Entries cannot fail. Scouting can be represented as your character searching through an area. They do not need to have any items present. You can scount in area you like, however know that the loot pool for this prompt is used for all entries, and not specific to that region. Additionally, if you scout in an area that is locked your points will go towards unlocking that location. Loot granted in this prompt will include all unlocked regions with the exception of the Farm Lands. When a new region is unlocked, that regions items are entered into the pool.

You can go here to scout, and here to read more about the different locations.

This prompt is ONLY for unlocking and upgrading locations and requires an art ot literature piece. The Aether's guard boon is not allowed to be used in this activity. Scouting progress will never reset. When an area upgrades, the bonuses take into affect.

  • Level 1: Costs 80 Moon Gems and 4 Stamina. Returns 1 Item.
  • Level 2: Costs 40 Moon Gems and 3 Stamina. Returns 2 Items.
  • Level 3: Costs 20 Moon Gems and 2 Stamina. Returns 3 Items.
  • Level 4: Costs 10 Moon Gems and 1 Stamina. Returns 4 Items.

Only Farm lands cannot be upgraded.

Points and loot are granted per character. An entry with four characters will gain four points, while an entry with 1 character will only earn 1.

Prompts

Scouting can be depicted as your character exploring the region that they are. They can be looking for someone, something, or simply exploring in generally. This leaves a lot of free reign for what you decide to depict in your artwork or literature. A few examples include:

  • Your character is exploring this region, and they come across a cave or other interesting location
  • Your character is scoping out a new den/nest/home location and they encounter an enemy or rival.
  • They have been tasked with retrieving an item for another character (real or npc).

By nature, some of these prompts may appear like expeditions, and this is ok! So long as your character is exploring the region in some fashion, then the entry will pass.

Crucible coins and Ranking Up
General information

In the Crucible your dragon fights to earn fame, glory, honor, and a lot of rewards. In all battles you will receive a varying amount of Crucible Coins to spend at the CRUCIBLE ARMORY alongside unique loot tables that progresively get better as your dragon’s rises through the crucible ranks.

All dragons start with no rank and need to participate in an Exaltion battle to move up the next rank which has a few unique requirements.

  • The Exalted battle can be against Any Starter only (not player). Starters are geared up with equipment for that fight to make them a better challenge against you.
  • You cannot skip ranks! You must become a challenger before you can become a warrior.
  • You need Gauntlets which can be purchased in the CRUCIBLE ARMORY to participate in Exaltation Battles. One Gauntlet will give you one opportunity to rank up, use it wisely.
  • The dragon who purchases the gauntlet is the only one who can use it! So you can't buy a gauntlet with Dragon A then have Dragon B use the gauntlet. If Dragon A buys it then Dragon A is the only one who can use it.
  • Depending on what Arena level you are trying to obtain your dragon needs a certain level.
  • Art/Lit requirements are the same as in Normal Crucibles!

Each time you rank up in Crucible (up to Champion) your character's listed Breath types will also level up, granting them higher damage.

Exalted Starter Rank Combat Additions

All exalted starters are given additional items to help make them stand out against you in combat. These items are intended to level the playing field. Starters are simply scaled based on the character you use against them. i.e.: Fighting an exalted starter as a Challenger will give the starter items that may be seen on most challengers. These items do not change, so you can plan accordingly.

Some starters have breath elements, magic, or skills. These for the most part stay the same, however magic tier may increase or decrease, or be nonexistent. No stat bonuses are awarded. These changes only apply to Exalted fights.

Questing

Category: Activities

Details

QUESTING BASICS

Unlike Expeditions, Questing is designed to get more focused, and sometimes rarer, materials. Questing also features Side Quests which can get you specially focused items based on the side quest prompt you choose. Some items are found in questing that you won't find in expeditions.

You can view all quests and their loot here.

There are five types of quests:

  • Basic Quests: Anyone can complete a basic quest, this gives the more common item types.
  • Intermediate Quests: Only dragons who have completed their Low Class Magic can complete Intermediate Quests. You get more uncommon to rare items here.
  • Master Quests: Only dragons who have completed their High Class Magic can complete MAster Quests. You get more rare to mythic items here.
  • Grand Quests: Only dragons who have achieved Grand Status can complete these quests. (Coming Soon!)
  • Aberrant Quests: Only Aberrant dragons can complete these quests. (Coming Soon!)

Not all quests are available all the time. Quests go through a rotation where certain quests are available at certain times. This rotation is Seasonal. If you do not complete a quest in time, you will need to wait until the rotation comes back. However, if you get rejected for fixes, you will be able to resubmit with a link to the rejected prompt included.

Active quests can be found on the main page of the site via the quest board.

Submission Form
This form must be filled out and added to your prompt!

If you have multiple dragons, please fill out a form for each dragon unless the information is identical for all dragons! Only input skills, familiars, and items that can be used in the activity. If you forget to enter the form in your initial submission, add it to the comments section of your submission.

  • Simple Background (Two background elements, either foreground, middle ground, or background)

  • A background must be depicted in at least one sentence.

Injuries and Status Effects_________________________________________________________
If your dragon has no health, or a critical status effect, they may not particpate in Expeditions! Apply the needed item from your hoard to heal status effects or visit the Healing shrine to heal your dragon's health.
Injuries.
Characters can take a wide range of damage in activities, from having scuffles that take minor damage, to large amounts of damage being removed lost. Losing health is not the end of the world and the amount of health is not enough to knock your dragon out if they are at full health.

Aberrant characters however will lose a lot more health on occassion because of their status. Be sure you manage your health!
Status Effects
The following Status Effects can occur during expeditions! They will roll for all future expeditions until you heal them with items from your hoard.

Minor Poison - Deals 10 damageper Status.
- Healed with Antidote
- Becomes major poison if ten stack
Major Poison - Deals 20 damage per Status.
- Healed with Hemlock Syrup
Broken Bone - Deals 20 damage per Status.
- Healed with Splint and Cast
Minor Wound - Deals 10 damage per Status.
- Healed with Bandages
Blighted - Deals 30 damage per Status.
- Healed with Tea

Pass Rates and Injury Chances_________________________________________________________
Pass Chance
The pass chance is tied to your dragon's overall rank and then altered with other factors.

- Fledgling - 35% chance
- Primal - 45% chance
- Ancient - 55% chance
- Primordial - 65% chance

When your dragon has earned their magic, their chances of passing quests increases by 5% each time. Meaning a Primordial with high class unlocked will have 75% chance of passing any quest.

Every quest is broken down into a specific type where one to even three different magic discipline can gain a 5% boost to passing the quest. The types are as follow:

- Non-Magic
- Arcane
- Illusionist
- Elementalist
- Healing
- Enchantment

Other ways to increase your pass chance:
- Including a bonded dragon/companion or a dragon from your flight increases your chance by 10% (does not stack)
- Including a dragon that is not from your flight or bonded will increase your chance by 5% (does not stack)
- If your Dragon has their Morality Trials completed it will increase your chance by 5%
- Having the Bunny Familiar can increase your chance of passing.
Injury/Status Chance
Dragons can become injured in questing, but their injuries can sometimes be more bothersome. The rank of your dragon determines their base injury chance, all chances are out of 100.

- Fledgling - 40% chance
- Primal - 30% chance
- Ancient - 20 % chance
- Primordial  - 10% chance

If a dragon is timid they will have -5% to their injury chance.
If a dragon is aggressive they will have a +5% to their injury chance.

Welcome to the Crucible

BRING GLORY TO YOU AND YOUR FACTION!

The crucible is an activity where players are able to partake in vicious battles. With magic, teeth and claws you fight against other dragons (Player or NPC) all year round, gaining Crucible Coins.

You may partake in battle with any dragon- but it’s important to keep in mind that fighting those outside of your own Arena Ranking will result in different amounts of Crucible Coins being awarded.

Crucible Coins can be used to purchase things here: CRUCIBLE ARMORY

Every month players are allowed to submit FREE ROLLS! These submission do not require literature or art but require the same form as normal submissions.

Beginner (1): 1 Free submission
Stable Hand: +1 (2 total)
Dragon Tamer: +1 (3 Total)
Dragon Master: +1 (4 Total)

Free submissions cannot be used to rank up! You submit FREE ROLLS using this PROMPT here

Crucible coins and Ranking Up

In the Crucible your dragon fights to earn fame, glory, honor, and a lot of rewards. In all battles you will receive a varying amount of Crucible Coins to spend at the CRUCIBLE ARMORY alongside unique loot tables that progresively get better as your dragon’s rises through the crucible ranks.

All dragons start with no rank and need to participate in an Exaltion battle to move up the next rank which has a few unique requirements.

  • The Exalted battle must be against an NPC of your same WEIGHT CLASS and be in the tier you’re aiming to achieve! So if you wish to become a Gladiator, you need to win against a Gladiator.

Details

What Are Expeditions?

Expeditions are a series of activities you can complete to get a broad range of items based on locations. Unlike quests, Expeditions have a lot of items in each loot tables and are not as focused as quests. Some items can only be obtained in this activity as well. Expeditions include hunting, Fishing, Foraging, and Caving.

All players have Four monthly expeditions FREE ROLLS they may submit - meaning you do not need art or literature to have these submissions rolled.
Master rank and beyond players have an extra fifth free monthly expedition that they can submit.

If you are wanting  to participate with art/lit entries please use the Regular Expedition Prompt

Only one character may be submitted per free expedition!

Injuries.
Characters can take a wide range of damage in activities, from having scuffles that take minor damage, to large amounts of damage being removed while being in the Aether.
